Islanders Aged 38 And 39 Can Book COVID Jabs From Tomorrow, Reports Say

Islanders aged 38 and 39 will be able to book coronavirus vaccinations from tomorrow morning (Thursday), reports say.

The advice is that they should get the Pfizer or Moderna ones because of a link between the AstraZeneca jab and extremely rare blood clots.

According to reports, those in the age group will receive texts from NHS England about making an appointment.

On the Island, another two cases of coronavirus have been recorded in today's figures.

Since the start of the pandemic (March 2020), 6,824 Isle of Wight residents have tested positive.

The Island's rolling rate stands at 9.2, per 100,000 population. The UK average is 21.6.
