Interactive Map Shows Isle Of Wight Council Election Candidates

Isle of Wight candidates have just hours of campaigning left ahead of elections.

Islanders will head to the polls tomorrow to decide who they want to represent them in County Hall - as well as in town and parish councils.

Isle of Wight Radio has put together an interactive Local Election 2021 Map which shows who is standing in each Isle of Wight Council ward.

A reshuffle of ward boundaries means there are 39 seats up for grabs this year, instead of 40.

Who's standing in your ward? Explore the interactive map...

*Please note the map's ward boundaries are not 100% to scale*

The Island's polling stations open at 7am tomorrow and will close at 10pm.

If Islanders cannot attend in person, and have not already voted via post, then they can appoint an emergency proxy to vote on their behalf.

Islanders should not visit polling stations if they have any symptoms of coronavirus, or have recently tested positive for the illness.

Please contact the electoral services team by email on [email protected]. Alternatively, voters can contact Electoral Services, Isle of Wight Council, High Street, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD or call (01983) 823380.

Emergency proxy votes can be issued up to 5pm tomorrow (Thursday).

Isle of Wight Radio has been speaking to each party ahead of the vote. HEAR what they had to say.
