After what has seemed like a never ending spell of autumnal type conditions, it will at long last start to warm up as we move through the second half of this week, continuing into the weekend with some very warm temperatures likely.

The Isle of Wight Met Service forecast:

Wednesday will see the start of the summery spell, with sunny spells, broken cloud and pleasantly warm temperatures in the mid 20s Celsius.

Thursday will be another fine, warm day with long sunny spells and temperatures again reaching the mid 20s Celsius.

Friday will be a very warm, if not rather hot feeling day with long sunny spells and light winds. Temperatures of 25.c or 26.c will be widespread with a few places seeing as high as 27.c.

Saturday will be another very warm or hot day with long sunny spells and just gentle breezes.
Temperatures of 25.c or 26.c will again be widespread but a few places could well see as high as 27.c once again.

Sunday will be another sunny day across the island and feeling hot in many places with 27.c or 28.c being rather widespread.
