Gurnard Cliff Rescue After Woman And Dog Become Stuck

A woman who became disorientated while out walking her dog near Gurnard has been been rescued by coastguard teams.

 

According to HM Coastguard, the woman and her pet had become stuck half way up a cliff near Gurnard Bay.

She managed to alert the Coastguard, and Bembridge, Needles and Ventnor Coastguard Rescue teams attended the incident.

Calshot RNLI lifeboat and the Hamble Independent Lifeboat were also called.

The woman and her dog were recovered from the cliff, and were taken into Thorness Bay by Calshot Lifeboat.

They are both said to be safe and well.
