Guinness World Record Runner In 50-Day Fundraising Challenge

A Guinness world record holding runner with an array of accolades to his name will be taking on 50 days of challenges to raise money for Huntington’s Disease.

Tomorrow (Saturday) will see Harley Salter, 27, launch the 50:50 challenge alongside friend Jess Webb — both having lost family members to the condition.

Their efforts will coincide with the 50th Anniversary of HDA UK and it’s #50MyWay year of fundraising.

The challenges will start this weekend and culminate on May 21.

Harley told Isle of Wight Radio:

“I feel inevitable. I will rise to the golden number — that number being 50!"

Huntington’s Disease is a rare genetic progressive, degenerative neurological condition for which there is currently no cure.

A program of challenges has been created by Harley’s Mum, Vanessa, with each day being determined by the toss of a 50p coin.

An alternative 50:50 public vote will be made available for certain challenges via Harley’s Instagram.

Harley has invited members of the public to join him in person or remotely in completing his challenges, you can follow the progress of the challenge and donate through his JustGiving page.
