Graffiti Covered Over In Sandown

Graffiti painted over on a bridge in Sandown

Graffiti on a railway bridge in Sandown has been painted over and attempts to remove it failed.

The scrawling was made on the bridge at the junction or Avenue Road and Perowne Way - and had been there for several weeks.

The words, 'No Mask?, No Test?, No Vax? No Brains were painted onto the wall facing the road.

But now contractors, thought to be working for Island Line, have painted over the writing.

Councillor Ian Ward said:

"Good to see that the graffiti on the railway bridge has been painted out.

"A previous attempt to clean it off was not successful as you could still clearly see the message."
