Emergency Services Called To Newchurch After Car Ends Up In Hedge

Emergency services were called to Newchurch this morning (Saturday) after a car rolled down a hill and into a hedge.

Road closures remain in place between Alverstone Road and Skinners Lane this afternoon as a result of a suspected malfunctioning handbrake on a white Audi.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said:

"We received a report of a single-vehicle road traffic incident at 8.12am today on Skinners Hill in Newchurch.

"A white Audi had rolled down a hill, through a hedge and is partially blocking Skinners Lane after what is believed to be a malfunctioning handbrake.

"Road closures are currently in place between Alverstone Road and Skinner Lane to allow for recovery of the vehicle."

Nobody was reported injured as a result of the accident.
