Coastguard teams have been called to an incident in Sandown this afternoon (Thursday).
Clothes have reportedly been found on the beach on Culver Parade.
Ventnor and Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Teams are in attendance, alongside Sandown Lifeboat.
Crews were first alerted at around 12.30pm.
Hampshire Constabulary has also been called.

A police spokesperson said:
"We were called at 1.37pm this afternoon to assist the coastguard after items of clothing were found unattended on the beach near Sandown Esplanade.
“The area was searched with the assistance of the Sandown lifeboat and various enquiries were carried out to find the owner, but no-one was found.
“We have since been stood down and the incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
