An Isle of Wight Christmas shopper received a shock when police seized the car they were travelling in.
Officers stopped the Skoda estate car - which had been SORN - in Newport today (Thursday).
The car will be held for period of time which will allow the owner to tax and/or register it. But, if they do not comply with the DVLA requirements then, dependent on value, the vehicle could be scrapped or auctioned.
