Christ The King Students And Staff Show Community Support

Staff and students at Christ the King College have been showing their support for the community in the run up to Christmas.

The college has been raising money and collecting items for the Isle of Wight Radio Christmas Toy Appeal and the Isle of Wight Foodbank.

Form classes have been coming up with their own ideas to try to bring in the most items. One class saw each student make a donation and then their form tutor went shopping for them.

A total of £160 has also been raised by the admin team who held a coffee and cake sale for staff, which has been given to the Toy Appeal.

The toys have now been delivered to Isle of Wight Radio, before they are distributed to less-fortunate children on the Island.

Business Support and Admin Team Leader, Caroline Curliss, said:

"It's been an amazing effort by everyone at the school.

"We would like to do all we can to help those in need in our community this Christmas."
