This year's Pier 2 Pier swim has been cancelled due to bad weather.
Organiser Bob Cooper has told Isle of Wight Radio the decision has been made for the safety of participants.
The popular fundraiser, organised by the Marlins Masters Swim Club, usually sees those taking part swim 1.8 miles.
Swimmers set off from Sandown Pier and make their way to the site of the former Shanklin Pier.
It was also cancelled last year due to the pandemic.
