Air Ambulance Called To East Cowes Following Serious Medical Incident

Emergency services, including the Air Ambulance, have been called to East Cowes this afternoon (Sunday).

A man was the subject of their attention following a serious medical episode.

Two crews from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, further medical teams and police attended Clarence Road, after an initial call had come in shortly before 11am, with police alerted at around midday.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said:

"We were called out at 11.49am today to assist Isle of Wight Ambulance Service with traffic management following a medical episode on Clarence Road in East Cowes."

The man was taken to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport for treatment by paramedics, although his condition is reported to have improved following the on-site medical intervention.
