Woman Taken To Hospital After Three-Vehicle Crash On Staplers Road

A woman has been taken to hospital following a three-vehicle collision on Staplers Road, on the outskirts of Newport, this morning (Friday, January 9).

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 9.04am, after reports of a rear-end crash involving three cars on the bends between Blacklands Lane and Landscape Lane.

Police and paramedics attended the incident, with two people reported to have suffered minor injuries.

One woman was taken to St Mary’s Hospital for further assessment.

The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service confirmed an operational commander and an ambulance were sent to the scene.

Staplers Road remained open following the collision, with traffic managed by police while emergency crews dealt with the incident.
