Woman Arrested After Dangerous Dog Incident In Cowes

Police have arrested a woman following a dog attack in Cowes which left a woman in her 70s needing hospital treatment.
Officers carried out a warrant at a property on Lower Furlong, Brading, on Saturday (1 November) as part of their investigation into the incident.
The attack happened on 26 October, when the victim was bitten by a dog and sustained injuries that required hospital care.
A 56-year-old woman from Brading was arrested on suspicion of being the owner or person in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury.
She has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Police have confirmed that a Cane Corso has been seized as part of the investigation.
