Wightlink is celebrating national recognition after being awarded Silver in the Best Ferry Operator for Routes From/To UK Ports category at the British Travel Awards 2025.

The award places the cross-Solent operator among the top ferry companies in the country and reflects its ongoing focus on reliable, high-quality travel for customers.

The British Travel Awards are one of the most respected consumer-voted awards in the travel industry, with winners chosen entirely by the public.

Wightlink’s Silver award is therefore a direct endorsement from passengers who regularly use its services.

This year, Wightlink was shortlisted alongside major national operators including Brittany Ferries, Stena Line and P&O Ferries. Brittany Ferries took the Gold award, with Wightlink securing a strong second-place finish.

Wightlink CEO Katy Taylor said:

“This award is testament to the dedication of our colleagues across Wightlink.
"As the British Travel Awards are voted for by the public, we are absolutely thrilled to receive Silver.
"It recognises the hard work of our teams, who are committed to delivering the best possible service to our customers every day.”

It marks the fourth consecutive year Wightlink has finished in the top two in this category, having previously won Gold in 2023.

The company says this consistency reflects its long-term investment in customer experience, its fleet and its terminals, as well as its commitment to providing smooth and dependable crossings.

Wightlink also congratulated fellow ferry operators shortlisted for the awards and thanked the thousands of people who voted.

Katy added:

“We’re truly grateful to everyone who continues to use our services and took the time to give us their vote.
"The support from our customers means so much to us.”
