Wessex Cancer Support is bringing its much-loved community fundraiser back to Ryde this spring, with its annual Family Funday returning in a refreshed format for 2026.
Now rebranded as Wessex Day, the event will take place at Tesco Extra Ryde on Thursday 16 May, running from 10am to 4pm.
Organisers say the day will feature live music, performances, family activities and entertainment, all in support of Islanders affected by cancer.
This year’s line-up includes performances from Raw Samba, Emilia, Ruby Bodenham, Baron Fortitude, Cara Goodrem, Amy Joliffe, TheatreTrain and Hannah The Vintage Songbird.
Families attending will also be able to enjoy games, storytelling from Kathryn Rossati, and magic from Naturally Nick.
Alongside the entertainment, Wessex Cancer Support staff will be available to share information about the charity’s free emotional and practical services, including counselling, wellbeing support and community groups for people affected by a cancer diagnosis.
The charity says Wessex Day is designed to bring the community together, raise awareness of its work, and generate vital funds, as it receives no government funding.
Support is being provided by Tesco Ryde and Aspire.
More information about Wessex Cancer Support and its services will be available on the day.
