Wes Anderson Cover Band To Play Isle Of Wight Gig This Weekend

A band which covers music from the films of Wes Anderson will perform on the Isle of Wight this weekend.

The appropriately named Wes Banderson will take to the stage at Newport’s Quay Arts on Saturday, May 10.

The group, who will begin at 7.30pm, specialises in covering original soundtrack snippets from films by the Fantastic Mr Fox director.

They will play pieces of music by composers including Alexandre Desplat and Mark Mothersbaugh.

Fronted by bandleader Adam Znaidi, Wes Banderson’s Isle of Wight concert is part of a UK wide tour.

On Sunday, they will perform at the Papillon in Southampton.

Oscar winning director Wes Anderson is best known for films including Asteroid City, The Royal Tenenbaums and Moonrise Kingdom.

Later this month, he will release his newest movie, The Phoenician Scheme.
