A chance to view luxury seaside homes built on the former Colonel Bogeys nightclub site will be available this weekend.

The Breakwaters development on Culver Parade is the first of its kind on the Island, housing apartments in the same block as a café, gym, business centre and retail unit.

The final 17 apartments are now on sale, with an open day to be held on Saturday (August 2), between 10am and 2pm.

“If you’re looking for a stunning new home by the sea, then don’t miss the opportunity to come and see us,” said Nick Clemens, of CT Isle of Wight, which bought the site in 2017.
“These are quality, modern apartments, all boasting incredible views, taking in the sea and surrounding countryside, on such a prominent site in Sandown.
“It really is a fantastic location, so close to the beach, near the town and we believe will promote a healthy, active lifestyle.”

Work at the site started in 2019 and has been carried out in three separate phases, with most of the other properties now occupied.

It’s hoped the combination of housing with other facilities will help create a community feel at Breakwaters.

Among its other features, the apartments will be served by energy efficient air heat pumps, helping to keep heating bills down in the winter months.

There are two lifts, a secure phone entry system and all homes come with a ten-year new build warranty.

Prices range from £295,000 to £475,000.

Ben Tanner, who runs CT Isle of Wight with Nick and his dad, Roger, believes the development is a welcome boost for Sandown.

“We’re all very passionate about the town and we want to help it thrive again,” said Ben.
“This site has so much history and while it has been a long road, it’s great to see it nearly finished.
“We know people who live here really love it, and we look forward to showing everything it has to offer to other prospective buyers.”
