A vehicle fire caused significant damage to the front of a house and a neighbouring garden in Bembridge last night.
Fire crews were called to a property off Heathfield Road shortly before 8pm on Monday after large plumes of smoke were seen rising over the village.
The blaze is believed to have started on the driveway, with flames spreading from a vehicle to the front porch and side of the property, damaging fascia boards and guttering.
Heat from the fire also caused damage to a garden fence and nearby trees.
A small vehicle, believed to be a Reliant Robin, was destroyed in the blaze.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service sent crews from Sandown, Shanklin and Ryde to the scene, with firefighters bringing the incident under control quickly.
No injuries have been reported.
The incident came just over an hour after firefighters were called to a separate blaze at a commercial premises on Riverway in Newport.
Fire crews later stood down from the Bembridge incident once the area had been made safe.
