Treat For Dads As Southern Vectis Offers Gift Of Free Travel On Father’s Day

 Southern Vectis is once again marking Father’s Day by offering the island’s youngsters the chance to take their dads on the bus for free.

The local bus operator will provide complimentary travel for fathers on Sunday 15 June - as long as they are accompanied by a child buying a 24 Rover ticket. 

“It’s not always easy picking a gift for Father’s Day. It can certainly be a bit tricky for many,” said Nikki Honer, Southern Vectis head of communications.

“So how about this? Dads can spend their special day with their off-spring - travelling across the region on us.

“There are plenty of great places to visit across the Isle of Wight - and this is an excellent opportunity to leave the car at home, relax and take an adventure together. A chance for kids to return the favour and take on the role of ‘dad’s taxi’ - even if it’s just for one day.”

Every child buying a 24 hour Rover ticket for journeys during Father’s Day will be able to take dad for free.
