Dover Park Primary School was filled with sunshine, laughter, and teddy bears last week, as pupils gathered on the school field with their families and friends for its first - ever Teddy Bears' Picnic – an event that brought the whole school community together.

Families enjoyed a relaxed afternoon, sharing lunch in the sunshine with their nearest and dearest.

Children and adults chatting and laughing and everyone enjoying each other's company is exactly what community spirit looks like in action at Dover Park Primary School.

Headteacher, Jon Kirby, said:

“This picnic was about more than just a fun afternoon – it was a chance to relax as we approach the end of a busy year, to slow down, and to celebrate as a whole school community.”

Parents expressed their appreciation for the event, with many commenting on the relaxed atmosphere and the opportunity to spend time with their children at school.

With its resounding success and positive feedback, the Teddy Bears' Picnic looks set to become a new annual tradition at Dover Park Primary School.
