Special Birthday Celebration Marks Decades Of Friendship At Isle Of Wight Care Home

A resident at Orchard House Care Home has celebrated her birthday surrounded by family, friends and more than six decades of friendship.

Pauline, who was born in 1947, marked her birthday on 18th May with a celebration at the care home alongside loved ones, fellow residents and staff.

Joining her for the occasion were close friends Carol and Meryl, whose friendships with Pauline span many years and have remained strong through different stages of life.

Pauline and Carol have been friends for more than 60 years, while Pauline met Meryl at a coffee morning after both women had experienced the loss of their husbands.

The pair have remained close ever since.

The care home said the occasion was a celebration not only of Pauline’s birthday, but also of the enduring friendships and companionship that have shaped her life.
