Sanderlings Given Extra Protection On Ryde And Seaview Beaches

Local organisations are working together to protect sanderlings arriving on the Isle of Wight for the winter.
The small shorebirds travel thousands of miles from Arctic breeding grounds in Siberia and Greenland to spend the colder months on the beaches around Ryde and Seaview.
Numbers have been declining, with disturbance from people and dogs making it harder for the birds to feed and rest.
A voluntary Bird Protection Area has now been introduced on Ryde beach, near the Hovertravel terminal.
People are being asked to stay out of the area between September and April.
The Sanderling Recovery Project is also providing signs, information boards and other resources to encourage people to give the birds space.
The coastline is also important for other protected species, including brent geese, curlews, oystercatchers and ringed plovers.
People are being encouraged to enjoy watching the birds from a distance and share sightings with Bird Aware Solent.

Me pareció interesante encontrar información sobre los horario de las loterías porque facilita una consulta que muchas veces requiere revisar varias fechas. Tener los datos organizados hace que todo sea más rápido y sencillo.
