Southern Vectis has been throwing its support behind the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance by raising funds and creating awareness to help the charity provide vital services to people living across the region.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance delivers critical care to people in their moment of greatest need. Its specialist doctors and paramedics respond to emergencies across the island and mainland, providing hospital-level treatment at the scene.

From road traffic collisions to cardiac arrests, every mission is powered entirely by donations - with no government or NHS funding.

“We are pleased to be supporting Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance as Southern Vectis’ corporate charity for 2026 and 2027," said Richard Tyldsley, Southern Vectis general manager.
"It is a critical resource, with a simple mission - to save lives.
“In just the first five months, we have already donated more than £4,000,  through various fundraising efforts - including raffles, donations at the bus stations - as well as a donation from Southern Vectis itself.
“I’m very proud of everyone involved in these activities. We all appreciate the incredible work these dedicated air ambulance crews carry out on behalf of those living across the region - and this is our small way of thanking them.
“This is just the beginning, and I have no doubt we will continue to find ways of raising as much money as possible over the next 19 months.”

Emma Stileman, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance supporter engagement officer, said:

"We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Southern Vectis for the most incredible start to our charity partnership.
"The team have thrown their support behind our cause, and we are excited to continue working together to help save more lives across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
"The amount raised already is testament to how hard everyone has worked and could fund one life-saving mission, helping one person when they need us the most.
"Thank you from all of the charity team, the crew and our patients and their families."
