A classic Shakespeare tragedy is heading to the Isle of Wight Steam Railway this summer as The Lord Chamberlain’s Men bring their open-air production of Othello to Havenstreet.

The performance, organised by Quay Arts, takes place on Wednesday 3 June at 7pm and will see audiences enjoy theatre beneath the evening sky at the historic station setting.

Known for recreating Shakespeare as it would originally have been performed, The Lord Chamberlain’s Men feature an all-male cast, authentic costumes and live music.

Audiences are being encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and picnics for the outdoor production of one of Shakespeare’s most celebrated tragedies, which tells the story of jealousy, betrayal and manipulation.

Tickets are available now through Quay Arts.
