Nationwide Building Society’s Ryde branch is set to close for just over a week next month while refurbishment works are carried out.

The branch, located at the junction of St Thomas’ Square and Cross Street, will close at 4.30pm on Thursday 27 February and is due to reopen at 11am on Monday 9 March.

A notice displayed in the branch window reassures customers that Nationwide is “here to stay”, adding that the temporary closure is to make the Ryde branch “even better”.

Scaffolding has already been erected outside the building ahead of the works.

During the closure, customers who need to visit a Nationwide branch in person will be able to access services at the Newport branch in St James’ Square or the Shanklin branch on Regent Street.
