DELIGHTED staff whipped out the cakes and games to mark this month’s 21st anniversary of Ryde Specsavers.
The team worked hard, baking four cakes and 84 cupcakes as well as organising activities including a donut competition donated by the local Co-op, all in a bid to raise as much as they could for the Islands Mountbatten Hospice.
Special guest on the day was Councillor Diane Conyers, saying:
"I was delighted to join the celebrations and meet the staff. It was a lovely idea to hold a street party - and to collect money for the Island's Mountbatten Hospice.Â
"Congratulations Ryde Specsavers!"
Director Tanzila Afzal says:
"It’s been an honour to have Councillor Conyers join us in celebrating our 21 st anniversary here at Specsavers Ryde.
"We wanted to put on a relaxed and welcoming fundraising event to support our Island’s hospice and say thank you to our customers and the local community for all their support for over two decades.
"We have a great team of people here at Ryde Specsavers and we are all looking forward to the next twenty-one year’s supporting the eye and ears of the local community."
