Rush Hour Crash Leads To Long Lane Closure

A crash on the outskirts of Newport has led to the closure of a busy road this morning (Monday).
Police, fire and medical teams have attended the incident at Long Lane, which has been closed in both directions as a result.
The collision involved three vehicles. One of the vehicles left the scene after the incident.
The crash took place between Standen Cottage and Brickfield Cottage.
The road closure has been put in place between Staplers Road and Robin Hill Roundabout.
Southern Vectis has reported that Route 8 and 68 buses are diverting via Briddlesford Road and Whiterails Road until further notice.
The investigation is ongoing.
