Orchard House Care Home was honoured to welcome three representatives from the Royal Marines Association, Isle of Wight, who paid a special visit to present a Christmas gift to resident and military veteran, Andy.

The visit proved to be a deeply moving and memorable occasion.

Andy was delighted with the thoughtful gifts and clearly touched by the recognition he received.

During the presentation, he was personally thanked for his service.

Speaking about the visit, Katie Schlepp, Head of Lifestyle at Orchard House Care Home, said the gesture highlighted the respect, gratitude and strong sense of community shared with those who have served.

“The kindness shown to Andy was a powerful reminder of the importance of remembering and honouring our veterans, especially at this time of year,” she said.
"Orchard House Care Home has extended its sincere thanks to the Royal Marines Association, Isle of Wight, for taking the time to recognise Andy in such a thoughtful and compassionate way, helping to make his Christmas truly special!"
