Road Closures Planned For Resurfacing Work In Brading

Drivers are being warned of temporary daytime road closures on Rowborough Lane in Brading this week while resurfacing work is carried out.

Island Roads says the work will improve the stretch of road from the junction with Carpenters Road towards the railway bridge.

The resurfacing is scheduled to take place on May 12, 13 and 14.

To allow the work to be completed safely, Rowborough Lane will be closed between 9am and 4pm each day.

Outside of those hours, the road will reopen using temporary traffic lights.

An Island Roads spokesperson said:

“We recognise that these works may cause some inconvenience for residents and businesses but those who use the road will know improvement work is necessary and we hope any disruption will be offset by the long-term improvements we are making.”

The company has thanked residents and motorists in advance for their patience while the works are completed.

The dates could change depending on factors including weather conditions or unexpected issues on site.
