Red Funnel has held its first dedicated Trade & Freight Forum, expanding its regular customer engagement programme and bringing freight partners together for open discussion about how services can be improved.

The event gave customers direct access to senior leaders, including CEO Fran Collins, and focused on freight operations, customer communication and opportunities to streamline processes.

Attendees raised topics such as loading priorities, deck coordination and booking system upgrades.

Red Funnel said it is already acting on several suggestions, including better communication with drivers and enhancements to its online systems.

Fran Collins said the session was “all about listening and discussing,” adding that feedback from trade and freight users is vital to shaping future improvements.

Alongside the new freight-focused event, Red Funnel also held its latest Customer Forum on the Island, where residents and local businesses discussed issues including punctuality, pricing, timetabling and onboard services.

The Trade & Freight Forum will now run regularly alongside Red Funnel’s established customer forums. Those interested in taking part can email customerservices@redfunnel.co.uk.
