Priory School hit all the right notes this week, when a beautiful new piano was donated.

The grand instrument didn’t arrive by truck, van, or lorry though, instead finding itself strapped to the back of a bicycle!

Mrs Lynch of East Cowes generously donated the piano, which was transported in style by Keert, the local green cargo bike company, with a little help from friends of the school.

Drivers couldn’t help but double-take as the piano rolled through the streets behind a bike.

The delivery even got a helping hand from some of the actors from Ad Lib Theatre, who were rehearsing at the school and pitched in to push the piano the final few metres.

Head of Performing Arts, Mr Lynch, and Matt from Keert ensured the piano reached its new home in the Main Hall, ready to fill Priory with music.

The unusual delivery wasn’t just fun – it was also a nod to sustainability.
