Police have released an image of a woman they would like to speak to following a reported shoplifting in Ryde.

The incident happened at Tesco Extra Ryde between 11.05pm and 11.20pm on Wednesday 25 February.

It’s reported that a woman entered the store and left without paying for bottles of spirits and cleaning products worth around £65.

Officers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary have now shared an image of a woman they believe may be able to help with their enquiries.

She is described as white, around 5ft 7in tall, of average build, with long brown hair and a tattoo on her right forearm.

She was wearing glasses, a denim jacket, black top, olive green jumpsuit and black

Converse trainers, and carrying a black bag.

Anyone who recognises the woman or saw anything suspicious in the area at the time is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference 44260096490.

Anyone with CCTV, dashcam, mobile phone or doorbell footage that may help the investigation is also asked to come forward. Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
