Police AI Assistant Shortlisted For National Innovation Award

An artificial intelligence system used by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has been shortlisted for a national policing award.
Bobbi, developed by the forces’ Joint Operations Unit in partnership with Salesforce and Humberside Police, is the first public-facing agentic AI system to be deployed within UK policing.
It allows people to make enquiries and access police services through online conversations, with more complex cases passed to trained contact handlers.
Since its launch, Bobbi has handled more than 10,000 interactions, resolving over 75 per cent of enquiries without human intervention.
The technology aims to reduce pressure on the 101 contact service, allowing staff to focus on urgent and complex incidents.
The project has been shortlisted in the 2026 NPCC Innovation and Digital Awards, recognising efforts to modernise public services through technology.
