Plans have been submitted to open a nail salon from a garden summerhouse at a home in Newport.
Kriszta Oltean Kis has applied for planning permission to operate the business from the rear garden of her property on Robin Hood Street.
The nail technician, who currently works at a salon in Shanklin, says she would see clients on a one-to-one basis, with only one customer attending at any one time.
According to the application, the salon would operate between 9am and 8pm.
In planning documents, Miss Oltean Kis said the business would be run solely by herself and would not employ any staff.
She also says the property has space for three vehicles, allowing clients to park off-road without adding to on-street parking.
The application follows the recent approval of plans for a home-based hair salon operating from a garden outbuilding elsewhere in Newport.
The Isle of Wight Council is inviting comments on the proposal until 21 August, with a decision expected by 16 September.
