Plans have been submitted to build six homes on a brownfield site at an Isle of Wight caravan park.
Coastal Parks Hold Limited has applied for outline planning permission to demolish an existing storage building and construct residential accommodation at the southern end of St Helens Coastal Resort, off Field Lane in St Helens.
The proposal would include six market housing units, made up of three two-bedroom homes and three three-bedroom homes.
A planning statement from agents Avison Young says the development has been designed to minimise any impact on neighbouring properties, with buildings positioned more than 25 metres from the nearest boundary.
It also highlights plans for additional landscaping to help reduce overlooking and maintain privacy for both new and existing properties.
In terms of transport, the application proposes sufficient parking for the number of homes and notes the site’s proximity to local bus stops, offering alternative travel options.
The Isle of Wight Council is currently consulting on the application, with the consultation period open until April 27.
A decision is expected on May 15.
