Patients Invited To Vote In NHS Trust Staff Awards

Patients and families across the Isle of Wight are being invited to recognise outstanding NHS staff as part of this year’s Delivering Excellence Awards.


More than 50 nominations have been submitted for the People’s Choice category, highlighting the care, kindness and professionalism shown by staff across Isle of Wight NHS Trust.


A shortlist has now been drawn up, with voting open to decide the winner.


Among those nominated is Dr Laura Bohane from the Paediatric Diabetes Team, recognised for her work supporting children and families and her commitment to patient-centred care.


Also shortlisted is Karolina Adamski, a Student Nurse Apprentice, praised for her compassionate approach and dedication to supporting patients, particularly those who are vulnerable or living with additional needs.


David Turner, Lead Practice Development Nurse for Urgent and Emergency Care, has been recognised for his role in training and supporting staff, helping to maintain high standards of care across the department.


Mary Silos, a Clinical Practice Educator, is also nominated for her work in developing staff skills, promoting patient safety and supporting colleagues on the frontline.


The People’s Choice Award forms part of the Trust’s annual Delivering Excellence Awards, celebrating staff across all services.


Voting is open until Friday 8 May, with the winner set to be announced at a ceremony on Tuesday 16 June.
