Newport restaurant Toto has announced it is closing its doors “for the foreseeable future.”
The popular eatery, based at 15 St Thomas’ Square, opened in 2020 and has built a loyal following over the past five years.
The announcement was made on social media on Monday (November 10).
In a statement, Toto apologised to customers with existing bookings and thanked everyone who has dined there over the years.
The restaurant encouraged patrons who still want to enjoy their food to visit its sister restaurants, Cibo and Fumo.
The post read:
"We’re sorry to say that we are now closed for the foreseeable future.
"We apologise to those with bookings & thank you to those that have continued to dine with us over the years, we will miss you!
"Our sister restaurants are still open so if you love us, book in with Cibo or Fumo - they’d love to meet you!
"We have tried to get in touch with everyone but if you have not been contacted about your future booking & have any concerns, please email us at totoiow@outlook.com."
Customers with future reservations are advised to reach out to the restaurant via the provided email address if they have any concerns about bookings.
