A new ‘high-quality’ and ‘food-led’ independent cafe has opened in an Isle of Wight town centre.

BrewsandHops has been granted a premises licence from County Hall for Pier View Brews at 2 Union Street in Ryde.

The business offers a variety of beverages, including speciality coffee sourced from the outskirts of Winchester and loose-leaf teas based in the New Forest, an application form said.

This is alongside an ‘extensive’ food menu featuring two handed deep filled sandwiches, house-made sweet pies and tray bakes catering to all dietary requirements.

BrewsandHops previously told the council: “In the evenings (Friday and Saturday) the premises will offer a curated, bespoke experience featuring an exclusive selection of imported Belgium and German beers, locally sourced craft beer, cider and old-style bar tankard cocktails.”

The applicant said the operation will be ‘strictly seated’, with full table service provided at all times, ensuring a ‘quiet, relaxed’ environment.

Its licence includes the sale of alcohol by retail from Monday to Sunday between 10am and 9.30pm.

Attached conditions include a ‘Challenge 25’ proof of age policy being in place, notices displayed at all exits requesting customers respect the needs of local residents by leaving the premises and the immediate area quietly and staff involved in the sale of alcohol receiving licensing training.

The premises was previously occupied by sandwich shop Craft.

A careless turn can end a promising attempt, while a well-timed maneuver can create valuable distance. The game encourages players to experiment instead of depending on one routine strategy. Short attempts make it easy to restart, while successful runs inspire players to push their abilities further. The escape road 3 feels especially engaging because improvement comes naturally through repeated play. As players become familiar with steering and timing, difficult situations…
