New 10-Week Art Course Set For Quay Arts

A new art course designed to help adults explore or rediscover their creativity is set to launch at Jubilee Stores Studios in Newport this month.

REBOOT: REFRESH will run every Tuesday from 13 January to 17 March 2026, offering ten full-day sessions led by Isle of Wight artist and tutor Nick Martin, alongside guest workshops from visiting specialists.

The programme includes drawing, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, collage and painting.

Organisers say the course is suitable for both beginners and those returning to art after a break.

Among the guest tutors are printmaker Karen Mead, artist Caz Underwood, and sculptor Joshua Raffell.

Two sessions will also be dedicated to ceramics, with a tutor yet to be confirmed.

Nick Martin, who will lead the course, said the aim is to give people the opportunity to “reignite their creativity, develop new skills, and build artistic confidence in a supportive environment.”

The cost of the course is £750, and spaces are limited.
