Families on the Isle of Wight are being invited to celebrate Easter with a fun-filled fayre at Mottistone Gardens this spring.
Organised by the National Trust, the event promises a packed programme of interactive games, activities and seasonal surprises designed especially for children.
Youngsters aged up to 12 can take part in a themed trail featuring 10 activity points spread throughout the gardens and wider estate.
Along the way, families can enjoy games, crafts and Easter challenges.
Every child completing the trail will receive a set of bunny ears and a chocolate egg.
Vegan ‘free-from’ alternatives will also be available, made in the UK using Rainforest Alliance Certified cocoa.
Children will also have the chance to meet a host of charming wildlife characters, including Harry the Hare, Cookie the Cuckoo and Bertie the Badger, as they make their way around the trail.
The event encourages visitors to explore beyond the gardens too, taking in hidden corners of the estate, winding paths and even the historic Longstone.
There is plenty to see across the gardens this time of year, with late daffodils, magnolia and early fruit blossom on display, while bluebells are expected to emerge in the surrounding woodland later in the month.
Families can also visit the 1930s Shack, explore the mini kitchen garden, enjoy refreshments in the tea garden or browse for a new read in the second-hand bookshop.
The Easter trail will run from 2nd to 6th April 2026, including the Easter Bank Holiday, between 10:30 and 17:00.
Entry costs £3.50 per child, in addition to standard admission charges, with free entry for National Trust members.
