Locals Set To Save £520 A Year With Free HoverBlue Membership

Residents across the Solent region are being encouraged to take advantage of Hovertravel’s free HoverBlue membership scheme, which offers substantial discounts on cross-Solent travel.

The initiative is open to anyone living in a PO postcode area, covering Portsmouth, the Isle of Wight, Gosport, Fareham, Havant, Chichester and nearby towns. In total, more than 855,000 people are eligible to sign up.

Hovertravel says that a single traveller using a HoverBlue card once a week instead of buying a standard day return could save over £520 annually. With the scheme free to join, members can access instant savings from their very first trip.

Loretta Lale, Head of Marketing at Hovertravel, said:

“This saving is based on just one journey a week, but the benefits go further. Discounts can be shared with a plus one or up to three children – even a plus one travelling with three children – meaning families and friends can make even greater savings.”

HoverBlue, she added, is Hovertravel’s way of “saying thank you” to local residents while helping to ease travel costs.
