Islanders will be able to hear behind-the-scenes stories from the Royal Family at next week’s Isle of Wight Literary Festival.

Hugo Burnand, the official photographer for the weddings of King Charles and Queen Camilla and Prince William and Catherine Middleton, as well as the Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla, will appear at two events.

He'll open his diary and share stories from the Coronation at Northwood House in Cowes on Friday 9th October at 12.30pm.

Hugo will also host an interactive question-and-answer session at Northwood House on Sunday 11th October at noon.

He says audiences can expect memorable characters, unexpected twists and stories that could only come from his career photographing the Royal Family and other high-profile figures.

The talks will cover his experiences behind the scenes, the tradition of Royal portraiture and some of the mishaps that have resulted in memorable photographs.

Other Royal-themed events at the festival include talks by journalist Robert Hardman about Queen Elizabeth II, biographer Penny Junor on Queen Camilla, and former Royal butler Grant Harrold on Royal etiquette.

The Isle of Wight Literary Festival takes place in Cowes from 8th to 11th October.

Tickets are available from iwlitfest.com.
