The Isle of Wight has once again been shortlisted as a finalist in the Group Leisure and Travel Awards, putting the Island in the running to be crowned the UK’s best destination for groups.

The Island has been nominated by readers of Group Leisure & Travel, where it regularly features in the top ten UK destinations.

The Isle of Wight has previously won the prestigious title in both 2023 and 2024.

Voting is now open, with the Island competing against other leading destinations including Edinburgh, Wiltshire and Belfast.

Visit Isle of Wight is encouraging people to back the Island’s nomination.

Amy Summers, Head of Marketing and Sustainability at Visit Isle of Wight, said it was fantastic to see the Island recognised once again as a top group tourism destination.

She said this marks the fourth consecutive year the Island has been nominated, highlighting the warm welcome, strong tourism offer and high-quality experiences provided by local businesses throughout the year.

She’s urging group travel organisers, coach operators and tour providers to vote and show their support.

The awards also recognise several businesses with Isle of Wight links, including Daish's Holidays in the Best Coach or Tour Operator category, Wightlink in the Best Ferry or Fixed Link Operator category, and the Best Accommodation for Groups award, which sees a contest between Daish’s hotel in Shanklin and Warner Hotels, which operates centres in Yarmouth and Bembridge.

Voting closes on 19th April, with winners due to be announced at a ceremony in London on 12th June.

To vote, visit the official awards website.
