An Isle of Wight campsite is celebrating a double success after picking up major national awards during its 20th season.
The family-run site at Whitefield Forest Touring Park in Ryde has once again been named AA Campsite of the Year — the third time it has received the accolade in two decades.
It has also been voted into Practical Caravan’s Top 100 Sites guide for the fourth consecutive year, with campers’ reviews helping it secure the regional winner title.
Owners Pat, Simon and Louise say they are “very proud” of the achievements and hope the recognition will encourage more visitors to holiday on the Isle of Wight this summer.
The trio run the Whitefield site with help from their three children and say they focus on creating a quiet and relaxing environment for visitors exploring the Island.
The business has continued to invest in the site during the winter months, including maintaining woodland and facilities, as well as adding two luxury lodges in 2024 to attract visitors who do not own caravans, motorhomes or tents.
The lodges are available year-round and have proved popular during the touring park’s winter closure between October and March.
The campsite’s latest recognition appears in the 2026 Practical Caravan Top 100 Sites Guide.
