Blackgang Chine’s Fiesta Of The Dead To End After This Year

Blackgang Chine’s Fiesta of the Dead will take place for the final time this October half-term, with the Halloween event not returning in 2027.
Inspired by Mexico’s Día de los Muertos, the family-friendly celebration combines music, colourful displays and live entertainment across five evenings: October 23, 24, 27, 28 and 29, from 5pm to 9pm.
The event transforms the park into the Land of the Dead, with visitors welcomed across a rainbow bridge by the Gate Keeper before encountering glowing decorations and roaming performers.
Highlights include two fire shows each evening, aerial acrobatics, live DJs in Cowboy Town and a Sacred Fire Garden where visitors can leave messages in memory of loved ones.
There will also be face painting, marshmallow toasting and Mexican-inspired street food, including chipotle chicken and nachos. Dogs are welcome, too.
Visitors can choose between tickets covering a full day at the park followed by the evening celebrations, or evening-only entry from 5pm. Season pass holders can attend without paying extra.
Blackgang Chine Park Manager Dan White said:
“Fiesta of the Dead has become a real highlight of the island’s autumn calendar, and we’re so grateful to everyone who has joined us over the years.”
He added that the park wanted to “send it off in style”, encouraging anyone who has not experienced the event to attend for its final year.
Blackgang Chine will also be open daily throughout October half-term.
The announcement follows a successful year for the attraction, which received three Bronze awards at the 2026 UK Theme Park Awards, recognising it in the Best Seaside Park, Best Landscaped Park and Best Social Media categories.
With just five evenings planned for the final Fiesta of the Dead, visitors are being encouraged to book ahead.
Tickets are available at blackgangchine.com.
