Island VW Fans Invited To Join Seafront Driveout And Meet

Volkswagen enthusiasts are being invited to take part in a relaxed cruise across the Isle of Wight this weekend, as Isle of Wight Dubbers host their latest Driveout and Meet.

The event takes place on Sunday (29th March), starting from Seaclose Park in Newport.

Participants are asked to arrive from 11am, with the convoy setting off at 11.30am.

The planned route will see a line-up of classic and modern VW vehicles cruise through some of the Island’s best coastal spots, including Shanklin seafront, Sandown, and finishing at Yaverland.

The final destination is Browns Cafe, where attendees can enjoy food, drinks and live entertainment, alongside a chance to socialise with fellow VW fans.

Visitors are advised to book a table in advance due to expected demand.

There will also be stalls from Wight 3D and Wight Vinyl, offering VW-themed merchandise, while aerial footage of the convoy is set to be captured by Wight Drone, weather permitting.

The event is family-friendly and open to all VW ‘dubs’, with organisers encouraging a laid-back, respectful atmosphere on the roads.
