As part of their Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at The Island VI Form, students exhibited their work last week at the Independent Arts Gallery in the centre of Newport.
The Private View was very well attended by family, friends, Tutors, Governors, and members of the Island Art Community.
There was a broad range of disciplines on show including, painting, ceramics, sculpture, graphic communication, fashion design and film.

The students have been rightly commended on the high quality of their outcomes, as well as the diversity in exploring their themes.
Course leaders and tutors would like to congratulate the students, and express many thanks to Independent Arts for hosting the exhibition and all of their help in the success of the event.
The Foundation Diploma in Art & Design is an exciting course for 18-19 year olds and is the only course of its kind being offered on the Isle of Wight.

Students learn, develop, improve, design and create a portfolio of creative, experimental and practical work.
The course prepares students for entry to top universities and careers in the art and design sector.
