Isle of Wight singer-songwriter Amy Jolliffe has released her latest single, inspired by the difficulty of maintaining friendships when you are young.

Recorded using funding from the Mike Howley Trust, Take Me Home was written after a close friend of Amy’s left for university.

It is about someone who is eager to explore new places, unaware of the emotional impact on those they’re leaving behind.

Inspired by the acoustic sounds of Julia Jacklin, Billie Marten and Flyte, Amy’s music combines rich vocal harmonies, vintage guitar tones and warm, resonant percussion.

You can listen to Take Me Home below:

Speaking about Take Me Home, Amy said:

“I am so excited to release my new single. This is my favourite one so far and I had so much fun recording it in the studio.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported me with my music.”

Produced by Dan Ashdown, joining Amy on the song are bassist Bobby Taylor and drummer Matt Whillier.

Take Me Home follows the release of Love Is, which came out in February.

Earlier this year, Amy performed at the Isle of Wight Festival and was awarded Brave Island's Young Creative of the Month.
