Mountbatten Isle of Wight and its sister charity in Hampshire have been shortlisted for a national honour – and the public is being asked to help decide the winner.
The Mountbatten Group is up for the People’s Choice Award at the 2025 National Charity Today Awards, which recognises the work of charities across the country.
Voting closes at 5pm on Friday 3 October, ahead of the ceremony on 15 October.
Mountbatten provides end-of-life and bereavement care for thousands of people across the Isle of Wight, Southampton and Hampshire.
Its services include support at home, inpatient care, day services at the Frances Sheldon and John Cheverton centres, and hospital-based support.

The charity also runs a bereavement service open to anyone, regardless of whether their loved one was cared for by Mountbatten.
Alongside its clinical services, the organisation operates around 20 charity shops and two community cafés, helping to fund its work.
Mountbatten’s new CEO, Becky McGregor, praised staff and volunteers for their commitment, saying:
“Every day, Mountbatten’s amazing staff and volunteers go above and beyond to ensure people across the Island, Southampton and Hampshire live and die as well as possible.
“It would be incredible to win this award, both in recognition of their efforts and on behalf of the many thousands of people who have been cared for by our charities.”
Anyone wishing to support Mountbatten in the vote can do so online via the Charity Today website.
